October Volunteer Wrap Up

With lots of other excitement in town last month, we opted to team up with our friends at Purgatoire Watershed Partnership for a joint cleanup and trail work effort along the riverwalk in downtown Trinidad. 14 awesome folks joined us to pick up trash and remove overgrowth along the Trout Trail and river corridor.

A few TTA volunteers also popped up at the Wormhole to do some fine tuning on the new pump track, including removing an unauthorized and potentially dangerous jump that landed on the edge of one of the berms.

While we love the enthusiasm of this mysterious jump-builder, we encourage riders to get involved with TTA to understand more appropriate jump placement and sustainable trail building principles.

November Trail Work:
Saturday 11/8 at the Wormhole

We're headed back to the Wormhole for November's 2nd Saturday trail work day. Note that we are bumping the start time to 10AM with the change of the seasons!

We want to extend a special invite to any youth who might be interested in outdoor recreation and volunteering!

If you know any teens who like to get outside, share the word. We will have pizza and stickers for youth participants!

TTA will provide tools, snacks, and cold beverages for a post-work hangout. Please bring your own pair of work gloves and a water bottle.

Expect standard trail work including tread repair, drain clearing, lopping/brushing, etc. All ability levels welcome!
